One can trace the roots of Aarrow Automotive and Transmission back to Roy Bordner’s early fascination with vehicle reparations. Based in the neighboring vicinity of Sandston, young Roy honed his skills at his dad’s repair shop. A seasoned automotive technician and transmission rebuilder, Roy later took the reins at Aarrow’s outlet on Research Road in southern Richmond. In 2002, he co-owned Aarrow’s outlet in the West End on Pouncey Tract Road, and by 2017, both Aarrow locations were under his sole proprietorship.
